Check out this website http://www.ala.org/advocacy/banned/bannedbooksweek. I had no idea there were so many books challenged or banned. I am an avid reader and I believe in everyone's right to express themselves. I feel individuals should make choices as to what is right and wrong for themselves - not Big Government! I feel that books should be "rate" the same as movies and video games. For age appropriateness. For instance, my 7 yr old could probably read some of the Harry Dresden or Nora Robert books that I read but I don't believe she has the maturity to understand them. But banning books - no way!!
